In 1994, Dr. Betancor earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology, a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of her medical journey. Before she was awarded her medical degree at Facultad de Medicina de la Republica in 2003, she served as a research assistant in the Department of Physiology, gaining invaluable experience in the foundations of medical research.
Determined to enhance her medical expertise further, she received a scholarship to pursue advanced training at Brescia University in Kentucky. She assumed the position of Chief Resident of the Department of Medicine during her internal medicine residency at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn. She is also affiliated with Kendall Regional Medical Center and holds a Florida State Medical License from 2010 to 2024. Since 2016, she has worked as a Core Faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Florida Kendall Hospital.
